The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, Sida, is a government agency working on behalf of the Swedish parliament and government to reduce poverty around the world.
Sida contributes to implementing Sweden’s Policy for Global Development. The agency aims to enable people living in poverty to improve their lives, to reform cooperation with Eastern Europe, and to distribute humanitarian aid to people in need of assistance. Sida carries out development cooperation in 35 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America.
